Indigenous Peoples have occupied and used this land we call Canada for Millennia. These Nations have vastly different cultures, languages, histories, economic and political practices. In the age of reconciliation it is everyone’s responsibility to engage in healthy, positive, symbiotic relationships. Before you join an Indigenous community’s event, please read up on that community; try to learn about their protocols and be respectful. You are not expected to know everything, but we ask that you try to understand the community and do your own research beforehand.
